HOW TO WHITEN TRAINERS

Crepes looking crappy? Mid-soles a little murky? Needing an overall trainer tune-up? Look no further. ASOS shows you all you need to beat the sneaker ageing process and banish yellowing rubber for good.

METHOD:

Washes laces with soapy water

Whiten yellowed mid-soles with homemade compound used for bleaching yellowed plastic

This consists of…
-2 parts hydrogen peroxide
-1 part corn starch (to thicken)
-1 part Vanish Oxi Action

(You mix the ingredients wearing gloves for protection, paint on to sole and mid-sole, and leave in the sun all day for the compound to react – then wipe it off)

Whiten leather uppers with white shoe polish. Voila! crispy white kicks!
